In today's anything-goes environment, they might conceivably make music hepper than Liz Phair's or Pearl Jam's and more enduring than Leon Redbone's or Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks', only they're not talented enough. "Nothing coy here, no sly indie-rock wink, and never say `novelty.'" Right. D+
