It's great, shows how quirky they were in their earliest days, and how varied they could be in their styles. And it's not a band dominated by one personality as they would become from In My Tribe onward.

It's interesting for fans. The album contains songs selected from the Maniacs earliest recordings before they were well known. I can see why the band is proud of them and want to get them out there, but the tracks would have been better saved for a box set.
