4.5 superb | Mad. | April 5th 14 | There's something joyous about finding a hidden classic. And here we have Mother Tongue's self-titled debut. They once had a chance of being huge but the record failed because it was too unconventional for radio, and that is it's greatest merit. The guitar playing is sometimes slightly jarring, but always sublime and the drumming stands out above it all, bursting with emotion. Vesper, Damage, Entity and the closer Using Your Guns are particularly intense.

3.5 great | stagemaster | November 10th 14 | Pretty interesting listen. Some songs have great energy and some just feel like a rather failed experiment. Overall though, I would recommend this to anyone who listens to blues and rock music, its certainly an interesting and worthy album to have. Recommendations are "Broken", "Mad world", "Damage" and "Venus beach".

3.0 good | Antonius | April 1st 14 | It starts with a couple of nice songs, but the lack of passion and renthusiasm made me lose interest. Recommendations: "Broken", "Mad World", "Venus Beach"
