Autumnblaze was founded in 1996 by the Paragon Of Beauty members Eldron and Arisjel. In the beginning they had the idea to combine the melodic
death/black metal of classic bands like Dissection and Naglfar with the dark and melancholic edge acts like Katatonia had developed over the years. After a
demo cassette and a single EP, the debut record “DämmerElbenTragödie” was released in 1999. This album established Autumnblaze as a melancholic metal
band with sort of very ambitious and metaphoric lyrics.
