Doping Panda was a popular dance punk/alternative rock band from Japan that first formed in 1997. Starting out as
anunderground band, the group later had impressive mainstream sales and recognition throughout the 2000's, and later
garneredcritical acclaim and popularity for their signature style that blended elements of pop punk, new wave, alternative and
pop rock.As a result, Doping Panda are arguably one of the most remembered rock groups of the 2000's within Japan. In 2012,
afterfifteen years together, Doping Panda surprisingly disbanded at the height of their popularity.
