Hadise (full name: Hadise Açıkgöz ) is a belgian R&B singer with turkish roots.
Hadise was born Hadise Açıkgöz in 22 October 1985 into a Turkish family. She was first noticed in the Belgian version of Pop Idol, Idool 2003. Even though Hadise failed to win, she was immediately offered an album contract in recognition of her talent. Soon after, her first single Sweat (feat. Hadise cites Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Brandy and Beyonce as the major influences for her Urban pop sound. Hadise speaks Turkish, Dutch, French, German and English fluently. She is nicknamed the “Milk chocolate girl” after her single of the same title.
