Just as no man can be or should be summarized by the label society gives him, HIGH ANXIETY cannot be confined to a scene, a genre, or any other nuanced terminology. Enraged by the onslaught of generic, forgettable pop punk that dominates the North Jersey music scene, these four ambitious youngsters from the town of Paramus, NJ have come together to introduce a different kind of music. HIGH ANXIETY effortlessly blends our universe into their music--music that combines harsh screams with multi-layered harmonies, spoken-word phrases and free verse rap; music that marries wild guitar solos with masterfully-voiced piano ballads and two-hand tapped basslines with polyrhythmic passion; music that invites you and challenges you at the same time. These boys are still in high school, and there's a good chance that after this summer they'll scatter across the country and study (and party) hard in college. But until that time comes, don't be afraid to message the band right here on PUREVOLUME, on MYSPACE or FACEBOOK (see the links above), or contact the band at we.are.high.anxiety@gmail.com. Give this music a listen; without question, HIGH ANXIETY is a band that is destined for great things. « hide
