Hyenas in the Desert was a short lived early horrorcore group from Long Island that first formed in 1993. The group were noticeably the first act signed to Chuck D's label Slam Jamz. Although their first EP, "Die Laughing", had critical acclaim, it was a commercial flp, and Hyenas in the Dessert then ended up disbanding in 1997.
