Kaze was a short lived Japanese folk duo that first formed in 1975. Consisting of vocalist Kazuhisa Okubo and guitarist Shozo
Ise, who was then a member of the highly influential folk band Kaguyahime, the duo found instant humongous success, with
their first album, appropriately titled "Kaze First Album", topped the Oricon charts, and became the 28th best selling album of
the year. Kaze had similar success, and surprisingly, at the top of their fame, decided to disband in 1979, after only four years
together.
