Andre Hicks (Mac Dre) was a bay area gangsta rapper who is noted as one of the founders of the infamous Thizz and Hyphy
movements. He released an incredible 31 albums (although some posthumous), as well as multiple compilations of other artists in
the genre. On November 1st, 2004, he was shot and killed while riding in a van in Kansas City, Missouri.
