Mute Beat was a dub band from Japan, active from 1981 through 1989. The group is commonly referred to as one of the
mostinfluential acts in Japanese dub music history, and various members remain active in the music industry today, notably
mixer DubMaster X who started a solo career after Mute Beat split.
