Poison the Well emerged from the band 'An Acre lost' that was founded by singer Aryeh Lehrer and guitarist Ryan Primack.Until 1998 almost every place in the band was replaced at least thrice, before the line-up with Ryan, Derek Miller (g), JeffMoreira (voc), Mike Gordillo (b) and Chris A. Hornbrook (dr) gets 'final'.Their first EP "Distance Only Makes The Heart Grow Fonder" is published over the belgian Good Life Recordings Label. Shortly after the band records the follow up "The Opposite Of December" and start to toura lot.With the high school behind them, the band can focus on touring and writing, and after constant touring, the album 'TearFrom the Red' is released, further developing the melodic metalcore the band plays.The third full length album "You Come Before You" is released on the Major Label Atlantic. The tendency towards more melodyis shown even clearer then on "Tear From the Red".In 2007, the band released their fourth studio album, "Versions". The first release for the band on Ferret Music and is also theband's first LP release since 2003.In 2009, the band released their last studio album as of now, "The Tropic Rot". In 2010 the band announced that they aregoing on hiatus to "explore other interests." Since then, drummer Chris Hornbrook has been doing session work as well asdrumming for LA based dance/electronic band, Big Black Delta. « hide |
