Righteous Jams

Righteous Jams came together when vocalist Joey Contrada (ex-Invasion/Stop And Think) met Elgin James (former Wrecking Crew/454 Big Block vocalist) in a thwarted robbery and ensuing street fight. The two became quick friends and soon were playing alongside fellow Invasion/Mental members Justin Detore and Derek Scace. RJ's blend of old school hardcore influences such as SSD, Bad Brains, Black Flag and Cro-Mags and positive, self-affirming lyrics instantly turned them into a crowd favorite and a staple of the American hardcore scene. Since then it's been nonstop for RJ, who've toured with the Dropkick Murphys, Madball, H2O, Sworn Enemy (as well as numerous tours on their own), and have signed to Abacus and started recording their second full length, entitled
