Last fall Samsaya released “Change” on her own label, which became a big radio hit in Norway with high chart positions. The Indian-Norwegian singer’s single debuted at #2 on the official Norwegian sales chart VG-lista and reached #1 on iTunes in Norway.
While she’s finishing her new album, partly recorded in New York, the Oslo artist has singed with Bonnier Amigo, Scandinavia’s leading indie label.

While she’s finishing her new album, partly recorded in New York, the Oslo artist has singed with Bonnier Amigo, Scandinavia’s leading indie label.

The song Samsaya is referring to is “Money”, the follow up to “Change”.
At the same time as she is releasing “Money”, her album track “Dodge It” is featured in the American hit film “The Wrestler” starring Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei, who both got Oscar nominated.
Samsaya is currently one of the leads in the TV reality show «The Clash of the Choirs» («Det store korslaget») on national Norwegian televison, (TV2) where she is training a choir from her hometown Oslo.
After the release of her debut album “Shedding Skin” in 2004, Samsaya has starred in the films “Villmark”, “Folk flest bor i Kina”, “Hawaii Oslo” and “Varg Veum: Begravde hunder” and done voice over for Walt Disney movies. « hide |
