The Microphones are practically a one man project, and it's headed by Phil Elvrum. The Mircophones play soft, stormy, rainy day acoustic folk tunes. Elvrum brings in a few guests to appear, and he is known for his masterpiece "The Glow pt.2" which came out in 2001. The music is extremely softand gentle, to get the full experience you will need to listen with headphones. The Microphones have released nine albums, and have been aroundsince the late 90's.
