Toko Furuuchi is a Japanese pop artist that first debuted in 1993. Although she had mild success in the first few years of major
activity, sales eventually picked up, and her 1997 album, "Koi", was her first album to break the Oricon top 5, at number 2. Her
career reached an all-time high in 1998 as her album, "Mahou no te", broke the top of the charts. Although her sales gradually
lessened in time, she is still regarded as one of the most influential artists in the 1990's Japanese music scene.
