Unicorn are a Japanese rock band that initially formed in 1986. Within just a few years, Unicorn managed to morph itself into being one of the true dominating forces in the Japanese music scene, and the group and their quirky sound played all across their homeland. However, in 1993, at the height of their success, Unicorn decided to split. One of the core members of Unicorn, Tamio Okuda, went on to enjoy a rather successful solo career, and went on to write for various other Japanese rock stars, most notably the popular pop punk duo, Puffy. However, in 2009, the group made a shocking announcement when it was stated that Unicorn was reuniting. Their seventh full length album, "Chambre", was a huge smash hit, reaching the very top of the Japanese Oricon music charts.
