Saxon Shore is an American post rock band formed in 2001 by guitarist Matthew Doty and drummer Josh Tillman. The group are known to
combine elements of instrumental and ambient music with the more eclectic shoe-gaze and post rock genres.
In the time separating their 2002 indie-pop debut, Be a Bright Blue and 2005 ambient follow-up Four Months of Darkness, Tillman
(who no longer resides with the group) and Doty exchanged ideas within four-track recordings between Seattle, New York and the more tangible
