Band formed in 1997 after the dissolution of Carcass. It consisted of Carcass alumni Jeff Walker (bass & vocals), Ken Owen (drums) and Carlo Regadas (guitar), plus ex-Cathedral bassist Mark Griffiths on guitar. Wishing to continue down the musical path of Carcass' last effort "Swansong," they released only one album, "Barbed Wire Soul," before breaking up after drummer Ken Owen suffered a stroke in 1999. In some regions they were known as Blackstar Rising.
