Wayne Richard Wells (1965–2014), better known as Wayne Static, was an American musician. Static was better known as the frontman of the industrial metal band Static-X.
As a solo artist, Static released only one album, Pighammer, in 2011. Static died on November 1, 2014 as a result of a multiple prescription drug toxicity.
