Anubis is a cinematic Progressive Rock band from Sydney, Australia.The band has finished three studio albums: the debut 230503 (2009), based on the concept of the death of one of the bandmate'sclose friend; the critically acclaimed A Tower of Silence (2011), based on the concept of the ghost of a Victorian child trapped inthe workhorse it died in; and the brand new Hitchhiking to Byzantium, (2014) based on the concept of the journey of life.Between 2013 and 2014, the band started a fundraiser on PledgeMusic to fund the release of Hitchhiking to Byzantium on vinyl, yetdue to severe under-funding, the project did not follow through.
