After connecting with Chuck Schuldiner and Death in 1985 and being influenced by the demos of Canadian extreme metallers Slaughter, they went on to become argubly the first grindcore band and were a major influence on other legendary bands in the genre such as Carcass, Napalm Death and Terrorizer. Their debut album was originally released in 1986 as a demo called Slaughter of the Innocent. It was "officially" released as Horrified on the Necrosis label (owned by members of Carcass and a subdivision of Earache) in 1989. « hide
