https://crowbar.bandcamp.com/ New Orleans "sludge metal" godheads Crowbar, led by vocalist/guitarist Kirk Windstein (who is also involved with Down and Kingdom of Sorrow), have released nine albums since 1991. Their most recent was 2005's Lifesblood for the Downtrodden, featuring Windstein alongside ex-Pantera bassist Rex Brown and Black Label Society drummer Craig Nunenmacher. The current Crowbar lineup comprises Windstein, drummer Tommy Buckley, bassist Pat Bruders and guitarist Steve Gibb. Influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath, Carnivore and The Melvins, their sound is almost oppressively heavy.
