Bangtan Boys (Hangul: 방탄소년단; RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan), also known as BTS, is a seven-member South Korean boy group formed by BigHitEntertainment. The name of the band, Bangtan Sonyeondan, is a combination of "방탄" which means bulletproof and "소년단" which meansboyscouts. The group has a versatile image ranging from a tougher, bad boy to a more youthful image. They focus mainly on the hip hopgenrewhile appealing to youth also. MTV's Corynn Smith has stated that BTS has incorporated hip hop beats as well as rock-inspired elementsfortheir singles: "Danger" and "Boy in Luv".
