Behind the Scenery is a melodic death metal band from Germany that formed in 1994 when they were still teenagers. After releasing three full lengths they decided to call it quits in 2007 due to many lineup changes and differing tastes in music. Their first album is pure melodic death metal in the vein of Dark Tranquillity and the other Swedish masters. Their second release is more complex, but still melodeath. Their swansong album is even more experimental and contains influences from other genres outside of the metal realm.
