It started with an EP released on Glitterbeat Records in 2014 from which the idea for a full-length album was born. Black Mango's Quicksand album was recorded in Bamako over a period of several years, in various recording sessions, giving each musician free range to play on a rhythmic and melodic basis prepared in advance. « hide
