Dada (stylized: dada) is a rock trio from Los Angeles, California. The band comprises lead guitarist Michael Gurley, bassist Joie Calio, and
drummer Phil Leavitt. Michael and Joie share the vocals on each song. Dada is known mainly for their debut album Puzzle (1992) which
contained the single "Dizz Knee Land," reaching number 5 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart and number 27 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock
chart. Since then, Dada have released several studio albums including American Highway Flower (1994), El Subliminoso
(1996), dada (1998), and How to be Found (2004). Dada's sound can be described as a mixture of blues and hard rock with
pop sensibility. They are know for occasional experimentation (e.g the strings in "Timothy" of Puzzle).
