Eternal Tears of Sorrow (commonly abbreviated to EToS) was a melodic death metal band that incorporated symphonic metal into their songs together with some gothic influences. Formed in 1994 and being one of the first bands in their genre, they went on hiatus on 2003, only to reform in 2005 and release Before the Bleeding Sun, one year later. Nearly two decades later, the band went on another hiatus in 2023 before eventually announcing their disbandment years later in February 2025.
