G.I.S.M. was an iconic hardcore punk band from Japan. Formed in 1981, the group went on to release a few singles and albumsthroughout
the1980'sand the first half of the 1990's before going on a hiatus in 1996. In 2000, however, G.I.S.M. returned, andreleased their third full
lengthalbum,"SoniCRIME TheRapy", in February of 2001. This was their first original album release in overa decade and was well received, although
thegroup wound up disbanding in 2002. In 2016, G.I.S.M. played their first live showin 14 years in the Netherlands at the Roadburn festival, although
it iscurrently unknown what the future holds for G.I.S.M.
