George Benson

George Benson is perhaps best known for his later work in the pop/r&b genre, where he found the most success. Most people don't realize that in the 60's to mid-70's, this cat was one badass motherfucker who could roll. Like all great men in history, George Benson grew up in Pittsburgh, PA where, by the age of 20, he was heavily involved in the local jazz scene. From there Benson befriended Wes Montgomery, and shortly after became a bandleader.
