Harry Chapin, born December 7 1942, was a film director turned folk singer who really never got the recognition he deserved. His biggest hit
came in 1974 with his song "Cat's in the Cradle". Chapin consistently released records throughout the 1970's, but his life and career were cut
short by a tragic automobile accident in 1981 at the age of 38. Today, Harry Chapin is still remembered for his music and his songwriting.
