Entering the electronic music scene during the breakthrough of Minimal/Tech House movement in the early 2000's, the duo of Stephan Lieb and Frank Elting became a major force. Hailing from Germany, MRI established their credentials earlier in the movement. After releasing two critically lauded album (2000's Rhythmogenesis[I/] and All That Glitters[I/] in 2002) they unceremoniously split.
Then in 2010 Lieb reformed the band, this time by himself and released a new album titled Heroes[I/], the first one in 8 years under the moniker.
