The band was formed in Ibaraki, Japan in 1997. Theoriginal member line-up was Tatsurou on vocals, Miya onguitar, Hiro on bass and Satochi on drums.
The band'sname MUCC comes from a character of a Japanesekids' show. The band has gotten some attentionoverseas as well and has played on both
European andNorth American tours. In their home country of Japan,they have notably played at the Nippon Budokan, whichis arguably the most
significant live arena in all of Japan.MUCC has a hard rock sound similar to a lot of the otherJapanese visual rock bands, although their musical stylehas
also taken influence from avant-garde, punk, grungeand pop.
