The group gained attention after recording their single “Naked Trees”, an allegorical work written in the aftermath of the 2011 Joplin Tornado. Me Like Bees’ momentum caught the attention of Joplin native Chris Ingle of Never Shout Never, who asked the band to join his label - Loveway Records in 2012. They joined Ingle and Never Shout Never on tour later that same year, with Nick Bynum taking over duties on bass guitar. Me like Bees recorded their first full-length LP entitle The Ides which released through Loveway Records in July of 2013 « hide
