Originally gaining fame as the bassist of punk legends The Minutemen, Mike Watt has also enjoyed a modestly successful solo career making music that is considerably less frantic, but no less diverse, than that of his original band. Recently, he has joined The Stooges as a replacement for deceased bassist Dave Alexander.
