Niagara was a new wave band from France that first formed in 1984. Originally known for their playful, occasionally quirky take on new wave, they later took on a much more straightforward rock sound by 1990. Niagara went on to become extremely popular in their home country, and later in Canada as well, where they toured a few times in the early 1990’s. After releasing over a dozen singles and four albums, Niagara ended up disbanding in 1993.
