lamented by critics for their erratic stage performances (play one night perfectly, too drunk to stand the next night) they were largely ignored
by the publice regardless of their massive impact on future bands. After the band disbanded in the early nineties Paul Westerberg wasn't heard
from again until he contributed two songs to the Cameron Crowe film "Singles", following on from which he released his first solo album "14
Songs".
After lukewarm reception to his debut he then released "Eventually" three years later, again this album wasn't too popular so he waited another
three years to release "Suicaine Gratification". In 2002 he released the ambitious "Stereo/Mono" project, "Stereo" under his own name and
"Mono" under his pseudonym "Grandpaboy", due to these albums being released under a considerably more independent label he decided to go
for a lo-fi approach by recording in his basement, he then released two more albums "Come Feel Me Tremble" and his latest "Folker" using this
back to basics method. « hide
