The two envisionedan album that would honor the style oftraditional prog rock, while infusing it with afresh take on melodic lines and lyrics, and bydoing so, catapult the genre into our presenttime. They loosely based the album on the2013 sci-fi novel 'Tj and Tosc' by Suhail Rafidi- its themes of transformation, self-identity,technology, and love in a post-apocalypticworld were a perfect fit with the music. DickiFLISZAR, drummer for BRUCE DICKINSON'sband, joined them in the late writing stages.Once the concept for the album was fullysketched out, the search was on for akeyboard player and a bassist. FLISZAR'sformer band mate Jesse NASON and theaforementioned TRISTRAM were theundisputed choice. In the spring of 2013PERFECT BEINGS recorded their debut atLULEY's studio, My Sonic Temple in LosAngeles.PERFECT BEINGS are all about the interplay offive forces, each bringing their individualstyles and talents to the plate, combiningthem into one big musical feast. « hide |
