This image change gave RC Succession a huge break, and by 1983, were among the very top bands in Japan. The group was eventually so popular, that RC Succession were widely regarded as the "Kings of Live"in their home country. Most of the members of the group remained active in the music scene, with the most well known name surfacing being charismatic frontman Kiyoshiro Imawano, who became a true rock icon in Japan, and was ultimately dubbed the "King of Rock" in Japan.
