The Bangles are an all-female pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1981, the group are commonly referred to as being one of the most significant all-female rock bands in history, along with The Go-Go's. The Bangles also reached their all-time commercial peak in the mid 80's with the hit singles "Manic Monday" and "Walk Like an Egyptian". In late 1989, the group disbanded due to numerous internal issues, but reunited in 1999, and have been together since.
