The Duke Spirit are an English band, formed in 2003. The current line-up being Leila Moss on vocals, Luke Ford on guitar, Dan Higgins on guitar, Toby Butler on bass, and Olly 'The Kid' Betts on drums. They mix noise-rock and garage rock with Leila's bluesy vocals.
They released their first EP, 'Darling, You're Mean', on City Rocker Records in May 2003. In May 2005 came there first album, Cuts Across The Land. They have recently collaborated with UNKLE on the track 'Mayday' from the album 'War Stories.'
February 4, 2008, sees The Duke Spirit's second album released, Neptune.
