The Rigannies were a short lived Japanese pop band that was active from 1967 until 1970. Because of their brief time together,
they only released a few singles and one album, 1969's "You and the Sea", which has since been widely acclaimed for its unique
blend of swoony psychedelic-tinged pop and classic 1950's esqued doo-wop R&B. After The Rigannies split, some of the
members went on to form the folk band Neko. In 2005, after 35 years apart, The Rigannies reunited, and have been together
since, touring on-and-off to a passionate cult following.
