But while she's certainly similar in style to other Australian female acts, her voice is what solidifies most of her album material. She has an extensive range, from soulful croons, to shrieking wails, as well as a consistency that's often unmatched by others - especially when performing live. In effect, he live performing vocals is what got her up to the position of performing at both the opening and closing ceremonies during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, further giving her and her debut a plug into international fame.
After she hit the ground running in 2000, she escaped the limelight, still being at the tender age of just 19. In 2003 she returned to the studio to record her follow-up to The Power, with Changes, but it was only to be released in Germany, making it a major let down for her, devoted fans, country and others. Why it was never internationally released remains a mystery. However four years later in 2007, she again returned to the recording studio with producer Ron Aniello, to record her third outing.
