Ween are made up of a pair of "brothers", Geen Ween and Dean Ween. They were typing together in junior high until all of asudden, theboognish came and gave them the scepter of wealth and power. They used this scepter during the rest of theirteenage years to make music andthey wrote about 1000 songs all by themselves. In 1990, twenty-six of those songs arrivedon their first album, GodWeenSatan: The Oneness(on the 2001 remaster, three songs that didn't make the cut were lateradded). The Weenbrothers went downhill inmainstream music with 12 Golden Country Greats and The Mollusk, but they managed to still have a big fan base andcontinuemaking albums to keep them entertained, including White Pepper, Quebec, and their B-side compilation Shinola. Since thenWeen hasmade plans to release a new album, and have been writing songs in their new recording studio, which is a 200 yearold stone farmhouse inPennsylvania. « hide |
