album pretty much created/defined a "new" style of DM.. and although a very similar guitar tone was used by Nihilist before Left Hand Path came out, it was still LHP that inspired the upcoming wave of drop B, riff-heavy bands

+ theres zero bad songs on the album, the riffs and vocals rule, etc
