Yeah, I remember one where the set slowly rotated, but the camera was fixed so you didn't realize until things started sliding off his desk and his tie started pointing sideways.
Ahh yeah. I remember that.
It was classic.

nevertoolate 06-10-2009 08:30 PM

Aaron 06-10-2009 09:16 PM

I'm working on a song called "Arcade of Struthers."

nevertoolate 06-10-2009 09:17 PM

lol. Cool title.

Aaron 06-10-2009 09:20 PM
To define the anatomy and presence of the arcade of Struthers, its anatomic variations, and potential sites of compression of the ulnar nerve. METHODS: In 11 fresh specimen dissections, the ulnar nerve was followed from the brachial plexus through the anterior compartment into the posterior compartment through the intermuscular septum and the arcade of Struthers on to the cubital tunnel. The arcade was identified, dissected, measured, and photographed. All anatomic variations were documented. RESULTS: The arcade of Struthers and intermuscular septum were present in all 11 specimens. The arcade was not merely an opening in the septum nor was it a short band as typically described: the arcade was better described as a fibrous canal with an average length of 5.7 cm. Its openings at either end were 3.9 and 9.6 cm proximal to the medial epicondyle. The structural components of the canal consisted of the fibrous tissue of the intermuscular septum, the internal brachial ligament, the deep fascia of the triceps, and the epimysium of the triceps muscle itself. The ulnar nerve was bound tightly within the entire canal in one case. In all specimens the nerve had an hourglass indentation at the proximal opening of the canal between the intermuscular septum and the internal brachial ligament. CONCLUSIONS: The arcade of Struthers consists of a fibrous canal. The tightest point is the proximal end of the canal at the intermuscular septum that represents the clinically relevant site of entrapment or compression of the ulnar nerve.

Summary
Background: The arcade of Struthers has been described as possible cause of compression of the ulnar nerve but several authors and our own experience have doubt cast on its existence. We, therefore, performed an anatomical study to determine whether or not the arcade of Struthers exists.

Methods: Ten arms from fresh frozen cadavers were dissected. Special attention was given to the fascial layers of the medial aspect of the upper arm and the medial intermuscular septum and their relation ships to the ulnar nerve.

Findings: An arcade of Struthers was not found in any specimen.

Interpretation: The arcade of Struthers does not exist and is not an anatomical structure, but a man-made construct.
Hottest 100 of all time. You enter 10 votes for songs from any year.

Aes820 06-10-2009 11:26 PM

They did a hottest 100 of all time a few years back.

It was Smells Like Teen Spirit.

And will likely be again.

Aaron 06-10-2009 11:29 PM

I hate that song.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 06-10-2009 11:46 PM

teen spirit was a good song.

Aaron 06-10-2009 11:47 PM

Nah. It wasn't a good song, but it was released at the right time s'all.

horseypie 06-10-2009 11:55 PM

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 06-10-2009 11:57 PM

But if this polls has been done already then I guess they can only do a new list from the point at which the last was done.

PS - Never gonna let you down

Aaron 06-11-2009 12:50 AM

Nah, cause it's likely to be a different population completing the survery.

Wasn't that a Triple M thing for top 100 rock songs of all time?

And Eminem was #2 with for Without Me or some crap. They publicised it all really well with that rap vs rock thing. That was when Triple M were still a "rock station". Wozza the rock dog probably killed himself when the station lost its soul.

Smells Like Teen Spirit isn't a bad song, great fun and they did it at just the right time.

nevertoolate 06-11-2009 03:10 AM

The old rock rap **** argument is stoopid. I'll agree gas on your Nirvana point.

Aaron 06-11-2009 03:11 AM

I'm still at work. Just clocked up 12-hours and still going strong.

gaslight 06-11-2009 03:18 AM

Oh yeah, I like hip hop as much as I like rock music. Just disappointing that Triple M lost its balls over the years. I never really listen to FM radio anyway though so I'm not fussed.

Radio is on its last legs I'd say.

Nah it'll stick around. But only because it would take more effort to get rid of it than keep it.

nevertoolate 06-11-2009 03:28 AM

yeah i cannot remember the last time I ever listened to the radio on my own accord, the last time was the footy coll v melb last monday but b4 that idk or even idr

gaslight 06-11-2009 03:35 AM

Only time I listen to the radio is if my dad is driving and we don't have a CD on, or if I'm driving and I've forgotten a CD, or it I just feel like hearing the talk radio. I've given a Sydney jazz station a bit of a crack some nights but their transmitter doesn't seem particularly robust.

Aaron 06-11-2009 03:39 AM

Every heard Catfight On A Hotdog on FBI? Apparently we've been played a couple of times, lol.

gaslight 06-11-2009 03:51 AM

Nah I don't listen to FBI.

Tiger Panic's been played a few times on this Sideways Through Sound radio show that does an hour of acoustic/folk/drone/etc. Pretty cool. Hopefully the next album gets some play too.
