beans 01-24-2008 07:57 PM

lol ok then

Pastorius 01-24-2008 08:00 PM

I have DragonForce t-shirts :D

Only 3 pound each when I saw them live, one Sonic Firestorm, 1 Valley of the Damned. They're not music music, it's just fun to listen to every once in a while.

beans 01-24-2008 08:10 PM

agreed, but i still dont have any of thier shirts
... your thoughts?
Heard them today, c/o Luc215, absolutely baller. Makes hardcore completely accessible to my peculiar metal tastes.

publicastration 01-25-2008 06:53 AM

Luc214.

Tyler is going to bitchslap you for calling them "hardcore" though :(

Tyler 01-25-2008 11:23 AM

They aren't hardcore but there's hardcore in their sound. A lot less than they used to be.

beans 01-25-2008 11:56 AM

i do consider them to be a little bit of hardcore like tyler said. i thought they were more punk to my ears back before the kezia days

Tyler 01-25-2008 11:58 AM

no I dont consider them to be hardcore at all, you read that wrong.

They were both punk/hardcore and post-hardcore before Kezia, depending on the release and song.

beans 01-25-2008 12:13 PM

i was saying i hear the hardcore in thier sound, i was agreeing with you

TheSceneNinja 01-26-2008 11:28 AM

So, they're the myspace featured artist currently.

Hopefully some of those jack offs on myspace will recognize a kickass band.

beans 01-26-2008 11:44 AM

they've featured a couple of metal bands the only one i remember is when throwdown released thier new record

blacklungfever 01-26-2008 01:19 PM

I think they're pretty ridiculously metal. Fortress is up on myspace, comes out in 2 days. Wow, it's amazing.

illpressureurhinges1 01-26-2008 02:13 PM
So, they're the myspace featured artist currently.

Yah because the one before them was Bullet For My Valentine...

beans 01-26-2008 02:17 PM

cant wait for it to come out, i still havnt downloaded it so itll be fresh when i buy it

illpressureurhinges1 01-26-2008 02:41 PM

Well good for you.

Tyler 01-26-2008 02:53 PM

They've been featured on MySpace before, who cares.

illpressureurhinges1 01-26-2008 03:32 PM

Well I think it's a little bigger of a deal this time, with the whole fact that their highly anticipated album comes out in 3 days and we've all been so stoked about it.

Tyler 01-26-2008 03:43 PM

I was more excited for Kezia, and I had to wait longer, than I was for Fortress. SO yeah not applicable.

publicastration 01-26-2008 03:45 PM

Tyler you've given me a huge fondness for Protest, I was listening to A Calculated Use Of Sound last night with a warm feeling in my heart.

Tyler 01-26-2008 03:46 PM

Atta boy.

I'm still praying for a re-recording of I Am Dmitri. Best song they've written, to this day, and they have a modified version that they still occasionally throw out live.

publicastration 01-26-2008 03:47 PM

Hmm why do you think it's the best song they've written? Just wondering.

It's definitely the best song on that album though.

Tyler 01-26-2008 03:50 PM

Because it's the song I enjoy the most. Written about one of my favourite books. Written extremely well. A lot of it is nostalgia though.

Static 01-26-2008 03:57 PM

I'm not a fan of A Calculated Use Of Sound.

Tyler 01-26-2008 03:59 PM

I can definitely understand that. I still love it, have since it came out.

sweboy 01-26-2008 04:02 PM

I like A Calculated Use of Sound better than Fortress to be honest. I haven't really listened to Fortress that much yet though.

Static 01-26-2008 04:03 PM

But I am a fan of Dimitri, so yeah.

Pastorius 01-26-2008 05:06 PM

Limb from Limb is the greatest song in the world, it's like an album compressed into a song.

big80smullet 01-26-2008 06:35 PM

The new album is very sweet i have to say. i have it in my car

illpressureurhinges1 01-26-2008 06:36 PM

It's the only album I've really been listening to this week.

Russell's Teapot 01-28-2008 11:41 AM

Just got the new album in the mail today. I'm playing this on my radio show tomorrow morning :p

Tyler 01-28-2008 11:43 AM

Rock. How's the packaging?

Dimmu Burger 01-28-2008 11:52 AM

I saw the Bloodmeat video on headbangers ball. Great song, decent video. I have the new album downloaded on my laptop but I haven't had the chance to put it on my iPod yet. I'm pretty pumped for that.

Russell's Teapot 01-28-2008 12:19 PM
Rock. How's the packaging?
Pretty standard, the art in the booklet is basically a series of closeups of the cover art. My jewel case has little piece cracked off on the inside. But finally having the lyrics is awesome.

Tyler 01-28-2008 12:20 PM

I'm so jealous.

Jewel case? I was pretty sure it was a digipack...they were holding it on MTV.

Russell's Teapot 01-28-2008 12:27 PM

I saw that too, I was expecting a fold out digi-pak. Maybe it's different in Canada, or for different packages (with the posters and shirts).

Tyler 01-28-2008 12:28 PM

It's probably different in Canada, assuming you aren't in Canada. Different labels, different manufacturing companies.

I'll probably run out and get it (and some others) before class tomorrow, so I'll post back and see what I end up with.

illpressureurhinges1 01-28-2008 03:04 PM
I saw that too, I was expecting a fold out digi-pak. Maybe it's different in Canada, or for different packages (with the posters and shirts).
Did you get the package with the poster and shirt?

Russell's Teapot 01-28-2008 03:16 PM

Nope, just the album itself.
