jrowa001 05-04-2008 10:54 AM

well all three of those albums are brilliant, but i think you would like PoT more than Elements possibly. so yeah get PoT then Elements

McP3000 05-04-2008 10:55 AM

and the bass is great. shame their original bassist died...

jrowa001 05-04-2008 10:58 AM

McP3000 05-04-2008 11:06 AM

Moon Flavor 05-04-2008 11:08 AM

Elements is far and beyond their greatest album, imo anyways

No.

VomitStainedCretin 05-04-2008 03:15 PM

Saw Cephalic Carnage supporting Akercocke this time last year. Excellent gig, both bands mighty fine.

Dimmu Burger 05-04-2008 04:01 PM

Schpladoinkle!

VomitStainedCretin 05-04-2008 04:36 PM
Schpladoinkle!
You're not the first to point that one out. I kind of consider it my signature avatar now.

Considering it was once my avatar too, there are way to many people using that ssame Charlie Manson pic right now

Pete 05-04-2008 06:53 PM

so for my new old school (read: amateur) death metal band, should i go anti-christian or zombie? or somehow both?

Tyler 05-04-2008 06:56 PM

jesus was a zombie so mix the two

Dimmu Burger 05-04-2008 06:57 PM

Zombie Christ Death Metal!

Pete 05-04-2008 06:57 PM

and call the band Easter Bunnies, yeah thats a good call

edit: or Easter Bundys and go anti-christian/zombie/serial killer

Bordello 05-04-2008 06:57 PM

Dimmu Burger 05-04-2008 06:59 PM

adb 05-04-2008 08:53 PM

I still have only listened to it once. I remember the first song was awesome, and the rest was meh. I'll give it another shot later.
Do you really like Opeth?

yes, why are you asking?

Malfeitor 05-05-2008 02:09 AM
so for my new old school (read: amateur) death metal band, should i go anti-christian or zombie? or somehow both?
NOTLD inspired zombie, not the gay bullshit running zombies (ie Nightmare City, Dawn Of The Dead remake, 28 Days)

ninjamonkey 05-05-2008 02:14 AM
yes, why are you asking?
Because In Mourning is a huge Opeth ripoff

repcak 05-05-2008 02:17 AM

it has opeth influences, yes, but i won't say its a rip-off;

DBlitz 05-05-2008 02:45 AM

agreed with repcak
