Jaundice 02-05-2010 12:43 AM

dude idk i just hear 11 minutes of him talking and i lost it

Meatplow 02-05-2010 12:45 AM

it cleanses my mind with it's mind numbing mindnumbingness

Jaundice 02-05-2010 12:46 AM

it kills me to have an obvious human element in my noise music

like it can have some voice in it but it needs to be separated from me by being like a recording of a recording of a recording

Meatplow 02-05-2010 12:48 AM

That's what I like about it I guess.

I've never heard beat poetry combined with noise loops. It's ****ing awful, but at the very least its not something i've heard before.

Jaundice 02-05-2010 12:49 AM

beat poetry makes me want to kill myself.

Meatplow 02-05-2010 12:51 AM

You probably shouldn't listen to Allen Ginsberg's Lion For Real then.

Jaundice 02-05-2010 12:55 AM

Yeah I really don't like Ginsburg.

Meatplow 02-05-2010 12:56 AM

I fail to see how you could enjoy Naked Lunch if you hate these things.

Jaundice 02-05-2010 12:58 AM

Burroughs always seemed like a bit of an outcast in that movement

I mean, Ginsburg was just a gay hippie and Kerouac was such a tool

Meatplow 02-05-2010 01:05 AM

I can't claim to know all that much about it.

Jaundice 02-05-2010 01:07 AM

Let's just say I read the big three beat books and I liked Naked Lunch

On The Road, tho, that book actually hurt to read

Meatplow 02-05-2010 01:11 AM

What was the other one?

Jaundice 02-05-2010 01:14 AM

HOWL.

You know the 20 page long poem about how his surrealist friend was bat ****

Meatplow 02-05-2010 01:15 AM

oh right, I thought that was just considered a poem though

Jaundice 02-05-2010 01:22 AM

Monte makes a really awkward rant on this song A Snitch is a Bitch

like, what the hell is this guy even talking about

Meatplow 02-05-2010 01:40 AM

Tiny Tears is the most lol song on there

Jaundice 02-05-2010 01:44 AM

The psychiatric review is what gets me

this album should be like mandatory listening for any one that posts in this thread

Meatplow 02-05-2010 01:49 AM

I do agree.

everyone from the review site who occasionally posts dislikes first wave however

Mussolini Headkick isn't bad

get Themes for Violent Retribution

Jaundice 02-09-2010 01:19 PM

man for a second there i thought some one other than me was going on about Severed Heads

Meatplow 02-09-2010 06:38 PM

yeah I need more Severed Heads

along with SPK I still must find out if there was other Australian first wave industrial

Jaundice 02-09-2010 09:57 PM

those are the only ones that come to mind

tho if you research some of the bands that severed heads did splits with there are some old experimental bands from australia that probably never were well known

Meatplow 02-09-2010 10:06 PM

Yeah, i've been finding that as I dig into artists like Laibach and Einstürzende Neubauten I discover several bands belonging to scenes virtually nobody has heard of that were associated with them somehow.

Jaundice 02-09-2010 10:07 PM

I stumbled across some sort of obscure australian new wave / electronic blog a while back, i don't think i bookmarked it tho

Meatplow 02-09-2010 10:20 PM

sounds like a keeper

sucks that I never got to download all the rare Die Form up on Sickness Abounds before it went down, Excisions is so good

Jaundice 02-10-2010 02:59 PM

ATTN Haz:

This is some seriously depraved EBM.

Meatplow 02-10-2010 03:17 PM

This isn't bad.

Have you heard the soundtrack for the original Silent Hill game? Some creepy ambient, you could certainly apply the "depraved" tag to it.

Jaundice 02-10-2010 03:21 PM

I'll check it out

The band is Assemblage 23, it's a one-man project I think. I was listening to them earlier and they have some really solid stuff. Cheesy arpeggios with really creepy melodies.
