Biscuit_box 03-24-2005 06:15 PM

Ok, need a little help... I was just recording a bass track for my band.
We are using a 4-track anologue recorder. We wired up a microphone to the 4 track and placed in front of my amp ( Which is crap BTW ) and the sound was bad, we then decided to put my bass through 2 guitar distortion pedals and plug it striaght in so the sound would be less boingy ( If you get what i mean! ) But to me the sound is still a bit off eventhough my drummer and guitarist said it was perfect! Any tips on how to get the perfect punk sound on a 4 track? All help will be very much appreciated

Jaw, Knee, B. Goode 03-24-2005 06:16 PM

Haha definitely get a picture of your braclet.
Where can i get zippers and other stuff for diy bondage pants?
Fabric stores sell them, in different colours and style. But you can buy them from AYP as well, but for more because of shipping.

Jaw, Knee, B. Goode 03-24-2005 07:00 PM

Where are you getting the fabric? Usually a place that sells fabric has zippers and shit but thats if your talking about buying them you could cut zippers off of something else haha.

oitotheworld 03-24-2005 07:20 PM

okay, where might you be able to get fabric?

Brain Toad 03-24-2005 07:26 PM
okay, where might you be able to get fabric?
A fabric store. Depends on where you live. Joann's, Hancock's, Michaels as a selection.

oitotheworld 03-24-2005 07:27 PM

lol probably a stupid question but thanks

oitotheworld 03-24-2005 07:34 PM

so you just get come fabric then cut it in the right shape?

Brain Toad 03-24-2005 07:37 PM

For zippers?

You can buy just a zipper with little fabirc sticking off from fabric stores.

Buying fabric from a store?

You take the spool to the counter and get how many yards you want, then you can do what you want with it.

Child, child. Before you think of getting zippers make sure you can put it on that fabric, and that you can sew it on there. Some sewing machines don't have the parts needed to sew zippers.

AndreTheHyena 03-24-2005 11:14 PM

The Dopematics rule.

He could hand sew it. I've never sewed zippers though, I don't have a need for them.

And Auld is spelled wrong in your user title.

hell, i never even use the zippers that come on the clothes as-is. ya get a nice draft that way, if you know what i mean.

Jessizzle 03-25-2005 07:30 AM

When my zipper broke I took it to the cleaners and they fixed it for 3 dollars.

FunknPunk 03-25-2005 07:36 AM

zippers arre for losers

honkybrewster 03-25-2005 09:03 AM

I've hand-sewn a lot of zippers, it wasn't really that hard. You just stick it down with fabric glue first. It's hardly different from sewing patches.
